Interstitial Cystitis (IC) Treatment & Nutritional Advice

My name is Melissa Albers (Bsc in nutrition) and I am specialized in pathology, metabolic conditions, psychiatry & medication. The last few years I specialized myself in treating patients with interstitial cystitis (IC), because in 2008 my partner has been diagnosed with interstitial cystitis. For several years he suffered tremendously from interstitial cystitis related symptoms. For us it was clear what his burden of disease was, but we both experienced that neither the health industry, nor patient or governmental organisations completely realized that coping with a chronic condition means more than taking a pill against physical pain and/or mental discomfort and that medication or operations (like removing the bladder) are not always the best solution.
